Classic Soviet Cars: Moskvitch 407
Details
The Moskvitch 407 was produced between 1958 and 1963 and was essentially the same car as the Moskvitch 402 (1956-59) but with an improved engine, new front grill and radio.
1:43 scale die-cast model. The car was never produced in huge numbers like the Zaporožietis and Zhiguli but the 407 was designed as an inexpensive car for the communist equivalent of the middle classes. Sometimes called the "Soviet Morris Minor", the 403 and 407 remain amongst the most popular classic cars of Russia.
