Eric Dolphy – ‘Out to Lunch!’
Recorded in 1964, a few months before Dolphy’s premature death, ‘Out to Lunch’ is undoubtedly his finest work, demonstrating a personal interpretation of the free jazz that shook the world in the 1960s and 70s by bringing together elements from the African-American tradition, the new avant-garde and classical European music.
